Go Jets Go! – Winnipeg Family Portrait Photographer

Being a family portrait photographer in Winnipeg allows me to meet a variety of amazing people!

Take the Pederson family for instance. I’ve photographed Natasha and her children’s portraits before but never had the pleasure of photographing the entire family. What a treat to include Ryan, and yes, Chandler! Sad to say they don’t make hockey sticks for dogs or an official Jets jersey, so Chandler was benched for the official Jets family portrait.

It was a fun morning in the park and a great start to another fall family portrait session!

Springs Christian Academy Grad 2011

A Simple Request (Winnipeg Portrait Photographer)

This is a post comes as a special request… no, actually it was blackmail!

Morgan came to our studio two years ago to experience our fairytale sessions. To say she loved it would be to put it mildly! Just the other day Morgan and her family were in for more family portraits, Morgan it seems was ready to boycott our studio. We are talking about a 6 year-old here folks. She informed us how disappointed she was that she was not in our sample portrait books, on the wall, or in our mall displays.

It’s pretty hard to explain to a 6 year-old who was going to boycott us that we photograph hundreds of family portraits each year and a large amount of fairy portraits as well. Each and every one of our clients are special to us and we are constantly updating our samples.

Well here you go Morgan, we’re sorry it took so long, and we look forward to the next time you come back!

Recently we attended a lighting seminar, put on by Bruce Hendricks and Steve Heibert, during which I was the subject. During a brief break period Fred took some quick portraits of myself and my car.

Print Competition Press Release (Winnipeg Portrait Photographer)

Well, it’s another busy week here at the studio!

We do have some exciting news though, we recently received the results of Fred’s entries into the Professional Photographer’s of Canada’s yearly print competition. Needless to say we’re proud to say that three of the submissions were accepted and exhibited in the National Image Competition. Including one image that was selected to be part of the PPOC’s loan collection.

The image accepted into the loan collection can be seen on the Elcheshen’s Photography Facebook page, along with the other contest entries.
